Dr. Heggie has been in pediatric practice in the Twin Cities area for over twenty years. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Brown University in Rhode Island where she received a B.A degree in Bioethics. She went back to Cleveland for medical school at Case Western Reserve University. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Rochester in New York. She was also a chief resident there. Dr. Heggie has additional training in breastfeeding support and she became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2008. Her special interests include breastfeeding, biomedical ethics and children with special needs. Dr. Heggie lives in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood of St. Paul. She is married with 2 children, a dog and a bird. She enjoys the outdoors - hiking, camping, cross-country skiing and vegetable gardening-especially the fall harvest and doing cooking projects with her family.
Dr. Heggie sees patients at our St. Paul and Woodbury locations - for general pediatrics and lactation consultation appointments
